8th Grade POTW

My number is 3 fewer than the sum of A and B. A is the smallest positive multiple of 13 for which the sum of its digits is prime. B is twice the value of the Roman numeral DXLIX. What is my number?

8th Grade Math news: (March Madness is almost here!!)

8-1: We will be taking a Diocesan Assessment on Tuesday and then will begin Ch. 14 on Wednesday. 

8-2: Welcome back!  We will review on Tuesday and Wednesday and take the Ch. 7 test Thursday.

7th Grade POTW:

The front wheels of a certain tractor have a diameter of 2 feet; and the back wheels have a diameter of 3 feet. If the tractor travels 1 mile, how many more complete rotations will a front wheel make than a back wheel?

7th Grade Math news:

7-1: We will take the Ch. 7 test Thursday.

7-3: Welcome back! We will take a Diocesan Assessment on Tuesday, and then begin Ch. 7 on Wednesday.

6th Grade POTW

Jane’s aquarium contains goldfish, turtles, and snails. There are 16 legs, 10 shells, and 36 eyes in the aquarium. How many creatures of each type are there? (Hint: Snails have two eyes, one shell, and one leg.)

6th Grade Math news:

6-3 (Red) will take a Diocesan Assessment on Tuesday and begin percents on Wednesday.

6-2 ( Blue) Welcome back! We will take a Diocesan Assessment on Tuesday and then begin your new chapter on Wednesday as well.

Vocabulary: No test this week. Unit 9 test on Tuesday, 3/9.
