5A - Week of February 22-26

Thursday: Hot lunch.
Friday: Field trip to see Beauty and the Beast play
Spelling: This week we will cover unit 22 spelling words. The spelling test will be on Thursday.
9:30 Math: Students will continue to add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers with the same denominators as well as different denominators.
10:30 Math: We will go through chapter 11 this week, adding and subtracting decimals. This is a very, very short chapter and we will cover it all this week. Students will also get to review math skills this week by complete Math Station Rotation.
Science: On Monday we are starting our next unit of study, weather. The focus this week will be on wind. Students will get to complete a webquest to help them learn about various types of winds.
English: Students will continue to learn about verbs and work on their how-to papers.
