5A - Week of February 1-5

-All Week: Each morning we will be collecting money to support Sr. Carolyn’s Adopt-a-Student fund.
-Monday: Ice cream treat during lunch
-Tuesday: Performing Arts Catholic Game Show from 1-2 p.m. and bookmarks
-Wednesday: Slippers and crazy sock/tie day for students.
-Friday: Students may wear red and while school appropriate clothing instead of their uniform. The spirit rally will be from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
Spelling: Students will be learning Unit 19 words this week. Please remember that the list only had 17 words on it so Mississippi, Illinois, and Minnesota were added. There, their, they’re, your, and you’re will also be on their test this week.
9:30 Math: LCM quiz on Monday. Students will start to learn more about fractions and continue studying chapter 9 this week.
10:30 Math: Students will review adding fractions and also learn how to multiply them this week. They have a test on Wednesday.
Science: Chapter 8 science test on Tuesday, February 9th. The study guide must be completed and is due the day of the test.
English: Students will review verb forms this week as well as continue writing stories involving Punxsutawney Phil and finish their persuasive restaurant story.
Other: The 5th grade mass is Sunday, February 7th at 11:30.
