2A TODAY JANUARY 29, 2010
Published by Mrs. Bradburn (2A) January 29th, 2010 in Announcements.Good Morning,
2A is ready for Catholic School’s Week. We have been busy preparing for it. Please join us at the 11:30 Mass this Sunday followed by the open house at school. The children have a lot to show you and they are very proud of the hard work they have been doing in second grade. Come see what your child has been up to. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair in the library, the Science Fair in the PAR and the art work throughout the building. Sunday is a special day at SJA and the start of a fun filled week.
We will not be sending the Scholastic book club order homethis month due to the Book Fair. Please support the Book Fair in the library.
Second graders are focusing on addition and subtraction math facts. I encourage you to please purchase a set of flash cards for your child and practice with them everyday for ten minutes. It will make a huge difference. I definitely am noticing the need for more practice. Thank you for your help with this matter.
The timelines and the snow people are great! The children really enjoyed sharing their “history”. I hope you had fun with the projects, as well. I’m sure it will be enjoyable for you to see the projects at open house.
I am looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Stay warm.
Mrs. Bradburn
