RELIGION: Students are encouraged to earn money to give as charity for “Adopt a Student” at SJA. Grades compete against each other the whole week as they raise funds to help those in need within our very own community. There is a prize for the winning class. Complete Chapter 11 identifying behaviors that are models of holiness and take test Tuesday. Begin meditating on scripture and journaling in our booklets. Begin Chapter 7 explaining the meaning of the beatitudes. If time, begin “Wanted Saint” poster presentations.

SOCIAL STUDIES: Begin Chapter 7 (Midwest region - pp. 190 - 197) describing landforms, climate, and products of this region. The Midwest State/Capital test is Thursday. There is no extra credit for this test. In addition to knowing the capital of each state in this region, students will identify the location of the 12 states on the U.S. map. Continue our mini unit on reading maps.

SCIENCE: Continue study of vertebrate animals and National Parks (Biscayne, Denali, Kings Canyon/Sequoia, and Joshua). National Park test is Friday. Use student’s notes to study for this test. No extra credit toward this test.
