2A TODAY JANUARY 8
Published by Mrs. Bradburn (2A) January 7th, 2010 in Announcements.Good Morning!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. We were all glad to see each other and share what Santa brought us. We are now ready for the second half of the year.
We are starting out with a very special event next Tuesday. The children are ready to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. They all passed their interviews and we have been practicing the procedure for receiving the sacrament. They are a little nervous but otherwise confidant. Please be at the church by 6:45 on Tuesday. There will be a sign in and then a prayer service that begins at 7:00.
We have been enjoying playing in the snow at recess. Please make sure your child has boots, hat and gloves. It has been a little chilly this week. They need to be covered.
Mrs. Nettleton and I are working hard drilling math facts with the children. They started the timed tests with 100 problems this week. We are finding that most of the children still need to practice. They don’t quite have them committed to memory. I encourage you to work with your child on flash cards everyday for ten to fifteen minutes. It will make a big difference. Thanks for your help.
If there is someone who volunteered to do Arts Alive for January 21 could you please let me know who you are? Thanks.
Have a warm weekend.
Mrs. Bradburn
