Mrs. Kenney - Week of January 4-8, 2010
Published by Mrs Kenney (4B) January 3rd, 2010 in Announcements.Happy New Year and Welcome Back! I would like to express my sincere gratitude for all the lovely gifts, cards, and contibutions to the teacher’s Christmas fund - your generosity is very much appreciated. I would also like to thank the PSO for the delicious buffet. I am truly blessed to be part of such a loving and supportive community.
Spanish: Family Tree Projects and workbooks are due Thursday, January 7
Religion: We will finish up chapter 4 this week and take the test on Thursday, January 7. The bible verse for this chapter is Genesis 1:27.
Reading: Just a reminder, the snowman project is only half of the Accelerated Reader grade. The students must also take and pass an accelerated reader test on a book different from that of their snowman project (the program considers anything above 60% passing). Friday is the final day the test may be taken.
English: The Unit 3 test is Friday, and we will review all week using the Checkup exercises on pages 120-121 and the Test Practice pages 122-123. The questions found on these pages are very similar to those on the test. We should have all the pages completed and corrected by Thursday; please be sure to review all the questions your child missed. On the day of the test students are required to turn in all Unit 3 class notes with a parent signature. These notes represent the student’s participation effort in class and can add up to 5 extra credit points to the test score (If notes are not turned in, 5 points will be deducted from the test score).
Spelling: A new list will be given on Thursday - no test this week.
