5A - Week of December 14-18
Published by Ms Friedman (5A) December 12th, 2009 in Announcements.Monday: 5th grade students will be going to Kris Kringle with their kindergarten buddy. Students will help their buddy for the first part of the session and then get to shop on their own for the second part. Please bring your money in the envelope sent home in the Wednesday envelope.
Tuesday: We will practice for the Christmas program in the morning.
Wednesday: Mid-quarter reports will be sent home in Wednesday envelopes this week. Please review, sign, and return them to school.
Thursday: Students will get to enjoy the Christmas buffet.
Friday: We will have our Christmas party in the afternoon. The Christmas program is at night.
Spanish: Supermarket projects and workbooks are due on January 8.
Spelling: Unit 14 words will be covered this week in class. We will have our spelling test on Friday this week. Homework will also be due on Friday.
9:30 Math: Students will begin learning about factors this week in class.
10:30 Math: LCM and changing mixed numbers into improper fractions and vice-versa will be the focus of math class this week.
English/Science: We will be doing various activities this week in class, including studying reindeer and presenting Christmas Verb Trees.
