SPANISH: Family Tree Projects and workbooks are due Thursday, JANUARY 7, 2010.

RELIGION: A baggie of art supplies is due Tuesday to use in making Christmas cards with the preschoolers. Each year 4th grade does 2 activities with the preschool children. This is our first activity. Later in the school year we will go to mass with them. We study “Our Lady of Guadalupe,” Patroness of the Americas”. by video and book. We keep our priests in prayer as we focus on him as the “Good Shepherd.” Remember, this is the Year of the Priests.” We continue to pray for our servicemen and women who sacrifice themselves everyday. The 4A American Idol Show will take place Monday afternoon. We can’t wait to hear and watch the enthusiasm of volunteer students who composed their own songs of worship!

SOCIAL STUDIES: Students take the Chapter 3 East region test Tuesday. Parent signed notes are due at the time of the test for extra credit test points. If the school music rehearsal program takes longer then anticipated, then the test will be rescheduled for Wednesday. When we return in January, we start Ellis Island.
SCIENCE: Continue wireless laptop research on selected gem stone by taking notes. Students create a study guide for the “rock and mineral” test given December 18, Friday. After the new year students will write their in-school rough draft for their gem stone research report.
