Welcome Back! I hope you and your family had a relaxing and very pleasant Thanksgiving.  I enjoyed seeing all of you at conferences, and as always, you know where to reach me if you have any further questions or concerns.

Wait until you see K3, it’s a Winter Wonderland!

We’re going to begin learning about Advent and preparing for Jesus’ birthday!   We will also get very creative as we prepare for many different Christmas crafts!

High Frequency Words: be, go, as

Science: We will begin a new unit this week: animals. We will learn what makes an animal different from a person, where animals live, what they eat, etc.  I am sure all of the children will love it!

WEDNESDAY IS HANDS ON SCIENCE! A great big “thank you” to all the parents that continue to volunteer and make this program a great success.

Pegasus: We will be starting a new children’s book this week: The Wonderful Pigs of Jillian Jiggs. Jillian, like most other little children, has a messy room.  One day, she finds buttons while cleaning her room. She decides she can make those buttons into pig noses.  Once she creates all her pigs, she teaches her friends how to do the same.  We will be emphesizing how Jillian is just like one of us, has great friends, and uses her talents to help other people!  This book has great opportunity for us to learn a few more strategies to be great readers!

Lastly, please keep Mrs. Fennell in your prayers.  On Tuesday, she will be having surgery to repair her injured knee. We hope for the best for Mrs. Fennell.
Have a happy week :)
