It is so fitting to consider the second coming of Christ at the beginning of Advent. We are warned in today’s Gospel to pray for strength and be prepared. The day of Christ’s coming can be escaped by no man. If you were to change something about yourself in preparation for this day, what would it be? This week the children will think about one thing they would do to improve themselves for the coming of Christ.

This week we begin our Advent Religion lessons. We do not use our text for these lessons. Instead, we read, meditate and discuss topics for Advent. We learn about Advent wreaths and prepare ourselves for Jesus’ birthday.

Our high frequency words for this week are go, as, and be.

We will be very busy in the afternoons incorporating our Pegasus program and December themes into our lessons.

Mrs. Fennell will be having surgery this week. I am sure she would appreciate all of us remembering her in our prayers.

Have a wonderful week!
