The date for receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation is fast approaching. We have been studying the sacrament in school. When we return from Thanksgiving Mrs. Greyson will be interviewing all the children as part of their preparation. She will see 2A on Dec. 1, 3, 8, and 10. Your child must have the book that you have been working on at home completed. Please have them bring the completed book to school on November 30. They need to know the Prayer of Sorrow by heart, as well. We have been saying that prayer everyday since the beginning of the year. I feel they all do know it but please continue to practice saying it with them.
Next Monday and Tuesday the children will be dismissed at 10:50 due to conferences that are being held from 3:30-8:30. We will have a different schedule those two days which will include a ‘Readathon”. Please have your child bring a beach towel and books to read from home. We can pretend we are on a sunny beach relaxing with a good book!! Sounds wonderful.
Thanks to Mr. Lang who impressed the children with his knowledge of Renoir during Arts Alive yesterday. If nothing else they will remember the name of the artist.
The “Support Our Troops” was a huge success. Thank you for your generosity. I am sure we made a difference in the lives of the soldiers.
I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving. May you enjoy good food and the company of good friends and family.
