Mrs. Bock Week of November 16-20

The new trimester begins on Monday!  New class schedules will be distributed in Homeroom Monday morning. Report cards will be sent home in the Wednesday envelope this week.  I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

Homeroom 8B Vocabulary:  The Unit 6 exercises are due Tuesday, November 17.

Math Students:  The problem of the week is posted on Mrs. Svitak’s home page.  Remember that the POTW is worth one extra credit point if it is turned in on Monday.  These points really add up, so take advantage of this easy extra credit opportunity!

8-2 Math:  We will begin reviewing Chapter 4 this week.  The Chapter 4 test is scheduled for Friday, November 20.

7-3 Math:  We will start Chapter 4 this week.  Be prepared for a Chapter 4 quiz on Friday, November 20.

6-2 Math:  We will be learning to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and mixed numbers.  The test on sections 3-8, 3-9, 3-10, and 3-11 could be as early as Friday, November 20.

Seventh and Eighth Grade Science students:  You should be in the process of carrying out your science fair project procedure.  You should be collecting data and keeping a journal of all your science fair project activities.  Forms for the Abstract, Safety Sheet and Endorsements can be accessed by going to Mrs. Anderson’s web page and clicking on the title “Science Project Information”.  From there you will find links to all the necessary forms.

8-3 Science:  We will be studying the physical and chemical properties of matter.  No test this week.

7-1 Science:  We will begin our study of plant and animal cells.  No test this week.

6-1 Science:  We will begin studying how organisms use water and will also explore the unique properties of water.  No test this week.
