Junior High Update
Published by Mrs. Sendlak (6B) October 21st, 2009 in Announcements.Kudos! All junior high students are making an effort to meet their deadlines, a lifelong skill.
The second Lit. Log for this semester was due today—10/21. Additional Lit. Logs are extra credit.
Eighth grade: We will say good-bye to The Outsiders next week. The final date is 10/28.
Projects—10/27.
The class is very grateful for their wonderful families. In the novel, a variety of situations are presented.
Seventh grade: We are working on a Short Story Unit. The Big Question in this unit is: Can all conflicts be resolved? Attention to inferences, comparisons, symbols and character traits are some of the special skill areas.
Sixth grade: We are working on a unit entitled Me, Myself, and I. The Big Question is Whom can you count on? Attention is given to context clues, predictions, plot, visualization and influences.
Words communicate in oral and written expression—–how they are used is extremely important. I will always stress the importance of spelling, grammar and punctuation but kindness in meaning and tone is a daily exchange in all classes.
Blessings and regards,
Mrs. Sendlak
