Monday we will beging our A.M. academic rotation. The children will make a three 30-minute circuit of math, social studies/science, and Language Arts. The children really enjoy this! In Language Arts, I will be introducing the first 2 high frequency/sight words: “the” and “a”. We aim for 20 words per quarter, for a total of 80 at the end of Kindergarten. You will be getting more information on this.
Our afternoon L.A. program is based on the Pegasus reading program. It begins with a 10 week review of the alphabet. We do three letters per week, with the exception of week 5, which has 2. This week’s letters are M/m, B/b, and C/c.
We are so proud of our newly decorated school! On Tuesday morning, Fr. Gabriel will bless the building in a short ceremony. We are most grateful to him for the support he gave to this h-u-g-e undertaking this summer.
Thursday will be our first Library day.
Friday is gym day, so please remember to have your child wear gym shoes to school on that day.

Our weather has been unseasonably cool lately. Please remember to put your child’s name in his/her sweater or sweatshirt.
