Looking back on the “Making Wise Choices – Abstinence Workshop”

On Sunday evening, April 19th, the 8th graders and their parents had the opportunity to attend the “Making Wise Choices – Abstinence Workshop” facilitated by Michael and Maria Kazlauskas. This engaging and informative evening is an opportunity for St. Joan of Arc School to work in partnership and help parents share their values with their son/daughter, understand what our faith teaches about human sexuality, and help prepare our teens to make ‘faith-wise’ decisions in their high school years.
During the course of their presentation, the Kazlauskas’ recommended the following books as resources for parents:
Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters – Ten Secrets Every Father Should Know by Meg Meeker, M.D.
Boys Should Be Boys by Meg Meeker, M.D.
