RELIGION: Fr. Gabriel spent 45 minutes last week taking 4A on a mini-field trip through the SJA sacristy…reinforcing our enrichment study called “Tour of the Church.” What a treat looking into the cupboards, drawers, and closets to see the REAL THINGS!! Our missionary rosaries are being mailed to a Carmelite convent in India. I think St. Therese would really appreciate that since she was a Carmelite and always wanted to be a missionary herself. This week we watch the video called “Lamb of God” related to the passion, learn sign language for different prayers, and review Chapters 5 - 8 (Unit 2).
.
SOCIAL STUDIES: Compare and contrast camping at the time of Lewis and Clark with now. Special thanks to Nick S for bringing in Lewis/Clark pics and information from his grandparents.
.
SCIENCE: Using endangered animal research brought to school, the student will start to take in-class notes on index cards in different categories (e.g. habitat, food, behavior, description, etc.).This is an in-class project and students must have materials in class in order to earn research participation points on the days that we do this activity.
