The Garden of the Kinders
Published by Mrs. Fennell (K) November 30th, 2008 in Announcements.I trust that you all had a delightful and blessed Thanksgiving.
Conferences went very smooth and I want to thank all of you for attending. It is always nice to see our parents. Please know that you are welcome to conference at any time, not just at the scheduled ones.
We will begin the season of Advent tomorrow during Religion. The children will take turns participating in a prayer service, and the lighting of the “candles”. They always look forward to their turn!
The two new high frequency words for this week are “at” and “her”. I always introduce the words with a piece of literature and follow up with a writing lesson. During the Christmas season, it will be a holiday story, either religious or secular.
The children LOVE to go out and play in the snow at recess! However, we do have clothing rules. For children to play out in the snow, they must have boots and snowpants, along with hat or hooded coat and mittens. Children who have boots, but not snowpants, will have to play on the paved area. No boots, no snow. Please be sure to put your child’s name in the boots, as we often have several of the same type in different sizes!
We are practicing one song for the Christmas Program on December 21. It is very cute and I know you will enjoy the evening!
