8-2 will have a Chapter 9 test Thursday 11/06.
8-3 will have a Chapter 4 quiz Thursday 11/06.
POTW 8
The sum of two consecutive odd prime numbers is the square of the product of the first and fourth prime numbers. What are the two odd numbers?
7th Grade Math:
Both 7th grade classes will have a Ch. 4 quiz on Friday. Our new chapter is about collecting and displaying data. A nice break from decimals and fractions in Ch. 3!
POTW 7
Jeff wants to put some money in the stock market. He invests $10,000 in the Tech 1 Computer Company that will double every 12 years. He also invests $10,000 in the Zippy Computer Company that will double every 6 years. If they start at the same time, after 36 years how many times greater will the value of the investment made in Zippy Computer Company be compared with the investment made in Tech 1?
6th Grade Math:
6-2 will have a math quiz on the first 6 sections of Ch. 3 this Friday, 11/7
6-1 will have a Ch. 3 test this Friday, 11/7
POTW 6
Cups often come packaged in one tall stack. A certain cup is 4 inches tall. When one 4-inch cup is stacked in another, the two cups measure 4.5 inches tall. When 3 cups are stacked, they measure 5 inches tall. How many stacked 4-inch cups will fit in a bag that is 12 inches tall? In a bag that is 20 inches tall?
