3B Happinings - May 26-June 4
Published by Mrs. Donovan (3B) May 25th, 2008 in Announcements.The last two weeks are here! This will be my final blog, since there are only 4 actual class days for finishing up our work and testing before report cards. The following is a time line to take you through to the last day.
Monday (May 26) No School - Memorial Day
Tuesday (5/27) Planetarium Field Trip - Dress for the weather and a lot of walking, bring a disposable brown bag lunch, bring a disposable water bottle, do not bring money or other valuables.
Wednesday (5/28) My reading groups will finish the workbooks for their stories begun last week. All groups will unit test this Thursday and Friday. Spelling tests and comprehension quizzes will be this Wednesday. My math groups will finish the soft cover workbooks by Friday. We will receive BUDDIE BOOKS from our eighth grade buddies and they are a gift to keep. We will see a power point presentation on the Lisle field trip.
Thursday (5/29) In Social Studies we will finish with a good game of Jeopardy and reading biographies of famous individuals in history. We will have an Arts Alive presentation and the Ice Cream Social is at lunch time.
Friday (5/30) Today is the last day for any accelerated reader quizzes. The Composition Books and Parent Journals will come home to you as year end gifts.
Monday (6/2) The second grade will visit our classroom in the morning. We will read the narratives from writer’s workshop. D.E.A.R. TIME is scheduled for the afternoon. Please send reading material and a comfortable cuddle for laying around and reading.
Tuesday (6/3) There will be no Mass today. The last Music class will use the recorders. Lunch will begin our afternoon festivities and picnic games end the day. This is an out of uniform day. Thank you to all the room moms who make this day so wonderful.
Wednesday (6/4) Please come with your child to our classroom and pick up the report card and any other materials to go home between 8:00 and 11:00am.
Thank you to all who work so hard to provide the lovely luncheon for the teachers. Please accept my special thanks to all third grade parents for your many kindnesses, constant support, and generosity this year. ENJOY YOUR SUMMER VACATION !
