Thank you to everyone who replied to our parking lot problem email. We were surprised to find out so many parents jump the line or drop their children off in the parking lot and leave them to walk across a moving car line to get into the building. Our policy is for every child to be dropped off in the car line and for the line to move as far forward towards the elementary building as possible before stopping. Children should only be exiting the passenger side of the vehicle and vehicles should move out only as the car line moves out of the disembarking area. The north parking lot is also available for you to drop students off.

If you are volunteering at school or coming in for some other reason please drop your child/children off first and then park. The safety of our students is first and foremost in our policy making decisions and allowing a child to cut across a moving car line can never be considered a safe situation.

We have been calling parents who are not following the rules and asking them to please consider what it is they are doing. We most certainly understand the frustration of parents who follow the rules and then sit and watch others do just the opposite.

Our classroom supervision begins at 7:30a.m. Please do not drop students off before that unless you have arrangements with our Extended Day/Before School Program.

Have a wonderful vacation and please come back refreshed and ready to start anew by following the car line policy.
