Number 1
Due to health concerns and the possible transmission of lice on clothing can we recommend something along the lines of the bag below to house your children’s coat, gloves, hat, etc. during their stay at Extended Day?
We can store the bags overnight and bring them to the hall daily, but the children will need to know how to use them. Please make sure your child is able to recognize his/her bag when our Extended Day staff brings the bags out. The bag should be see through and be marked clearly with your child’s name and please practice putting possessions into bag and zipping it up if you have a very young child.
Unfortunately, because the lockers are so far away from where Extended Day usually is we cannot have the children leave their things in their lockers. We also cannot spare staff from actual monitoring of the children to put clothing into or take clothing out of bags. This would be your child’s responsibility - certainly with help if needed.

Number 2
On January 14th we will begin locking the front doors (Columbia Ave.) immediately following school dismissal at 2:45 p.m. and unlocking the Tech Center doors (South Parking Lot) for pick up from Extended Day. Unfortunately, we have had some complaints from our neighbors and the Lisle Police have suggested we use our parking lot instead of the unmarked parking spaces on the street for parking while children are being picked up from Extended Day …. We’ll remind you the first week we’re back.
