Published by Mrs. Zydron (8A) November 30th, 2007 in Announcements.Gr. 6 We continue work on adverbs. These and prepositions can be a challenge, and we are spending plenty of time understanding and distinguishing them.
Gr. 7 The typed rough draft is due Monday. The papers really should look like final copies, but we will be editing and revising them in class on Tuesday. Students have questions about the correct way to make reference list entries and citations within the paper. The paper is written according to APA standards. There are some excellent web sites which can help. One suggestion is to type APA style in a search engine such as Google. Many sites are listed, some better and more user friendly than others. I think that the Purdue Owl site is very good. Another suggestion is to go to www.noodletools.com. This site is very interactive in allowing information to be typed in and then put in the correct order. We are nearing completion of the research paper. Hang in there!
Gr. 8 We are working on a writing assignment–a special Christmas present given, not received. We have been doing prewriting in class. The final copy is due a week from Monday (Dec. 10).
