St. Joan of Arc School

It was great to see all of you last Thursday at the open house. I hope you got a chance to see your child’s work and got a feel for second grade. As I mentioned on Thursday, your children are wonderful and we are all off to a great start.

I hope you took the time to read the information in the packet. I think the article on building fluency in your child’s reading is very worthwhile. I recommend you follow the suggestions in the article when your child brings home a story to aloud.

Please continue to check assignment notebooks every night and don’t forget to see their letters to you in their journals every Friday. Please feel free to write a letter back. They love to hear from you.

It looks like a pretty normal week ahead, no surprises yet!
