BAND: About 8 students did not get the chance to go and try out an instrument for band. They switched classes before the band teacher got to them. The band teacher will have a flyer for them in the coming week to deal with this situation.

RELIGION: The Chapter 1 test is Wednesday. Be sure to review definitions and look for information we highlighted in class in our religion books as important. Art supplies for a special project are due Thursday in a baggie with student’s name. They can be brought in early and left in locker til Thursday to earn points.

SCIENCE: Completed wind wheels and experiment sheet with parent signature are due Friday together. They can always be brought in early. Students were reminded to do this experiment with an adult!! This week we compare the atmosphere to the greenhouse effect and identify how heat affects air movement. The kids agree staying the troposphere is the best idea!

SOCIAL STUDIES: Understanding the difference between latitude/longitude lines, region/geography/erosion, 4 different hemispheres, and natural resources/man-made products is the focus of this week.
