Mrs. Kolar - Kindergarten

In math, the children have covered most of the major topics for this year. We are now finishing up a few topics. We will then review and reinforce some of the main topics for this year. This will be accomplished through games, poems, songs, hands-on activities, manipulatives and more in depth problem solving activities.

In reading and language arts, continue to review the flashcards sent home in the Wednesday envelopes. While your child is reading to you every night, don’t forget to read another book to your child. Even though most of the children are able to read to varying degrees, reading to them is still important for their language development.

Now that we are well into Spring, be sure to review from the handbook the uniform guidelines.

With the warm weather and last few weeks of the school year unfolding, the children are full of energy and excitement. Please observe the dismissal guidelines for the parking lot. Parents need to remain in their cars and proceed through the moving car line. If you have an unavoidable appointment time or emergency, and need to leave school grounds in a more timely fashion, then please call the office. They can help you make arrangements to pick your child up through the office. The guidelines for dismissal from the parking lot are put into place for everyone’s safety – students, teachers, parents and drivers.
