Preschool, Happy Fall
Published by Mrs. Clark (Preschool) September 28th, 2008 in Announcements.Oh what a wonderful visit we had from the Lisle Fire Department. We had so much fun checking out the fire truck and getting to sit in the drivers seat. A thank you to Fireman Jay for showing the 4 year old a.m. class how to squirt Mrs. Clark with the small hose. We learned all about stop, drop and roll, about smoke alarms and how important it is to have a fire safety plan at home. Remember next month, October is Fire Prevention Month. We will be making thankĀ you cards for the fireman this week.
The three year olds had a great time making brown bear pictures, making special hand print wrapping paper and painting fall leaves. We are excited about starting our Religion Journal this week. Reminder we have gym on Thursdays, please wear gym shoes to school on this day. With the weather getting cooler please make sure to label all coats and sweaters. We have been working on putting our coast using the flip and zip way. Ask your child to show you how that is done.
The four year olds started Jolly Phonics this week. We had lot so of fun with our first letter, Ss. We came up with lots of words that start with the letter Ss. We had to come up with a word that started with the letter Ss before we could go out and play. I was so proud when each student came up with a different Ss word. I am very excited to see all of their homework pages on Wednesday. We will be learning about the letter Aa this week. We started our Religion Journals last week and the parents replies where awesome. I will be sharing them with the children on Wednesday when we work in our Journals again.
A reminder to all preschoolers please remember to write the KINDERGARTEN WAY: Lauren and NOT LAUREN, label all of your childrens clothing and we do not have school on Monday, October 13th and Tuesday, October 14th.
Have a great Fall Week,
Mrs. Clark
