Good Morning!

We have had a full week of hard work and fun. We have been enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Let’s hope it lasts.

I did forget to mention one thing at Curriculum Night last Thursday. That is, if you signed up to volunteer for chaperoning the field trip, or subbing for Mrs. Nettleton ,or a Hands on Science volunteer you must attend the seminar on “Protecting God’s Children”, if you haven’t done so already. I believe there is one session coming up in October at the Parish Center. If you are interested please call the Parish Center to register.

Mid-term progress reports will be coming home in the Wednesday envelopes next week Also, Book-It starts Oct. 1. The October calendar will be in the Wednesday envelope, as well. The goal for October is to read 100 pages. As your child reads his/her pages mark the number of pages read on the calendar day. Please add the pages read at the end of the month and initial the calendar. When your child returns the calendar at the end of the month, he/she will receive a coupon for a free personal pan pizza and the Novwember calendar. We strongly encourage participation in this reading club, however it is not mandatory.

News on the African front, my daughter arrived safely and is able to communicate through e-mail and cell phone. That is a huge relief. She is very excited to begin her work in Cameroon.
