Parking Lot Arrival & Dismissal Updates
Published by Sister Carolyn (Principal) September 11th, 2008 in Announcements.This is the final week for our parking lot volunteers to be manning the lots during arrival & dismissal times. Thank you for your attention to their direction in an effort to make the process run smoothly and safely and thank you to all those who volunteered their time to see that all moves smoothly. Following are a few final reminders or additional bits of information.
* Students are not allowed in the school before 7:30am unless they are going to Extended Day. Those who arrive before 7:30 and choose not to go to the Extended Day room must wait in their cars until the appropriate time. Early arrivals should park in the lot and not in the carpool line and wait.
* Please use the drop off zone whenever possible vs parking and walking children into school. School policy is that if you have an appt with a teacher or business in the office that you drop your children via the carpool line then park and walk yourself in. This is for the safety of the children as small children are difficult to see as they cross the carpool line between large vehicles.
* Those who must walk into school and cross the carpool line should do so in front of the Jr. High doors and proceed up the sidewalk to access the Tech center doors. (We are currently exploring the possiblity of painting an official cross walk area for walkers to use.)
* The Tech Center door will be propped open from 7:30-7:45 to make entering the school easier for the younger students and limit parental need to assist them in getting into the building.
* Our signs and barricades will no longer be in use. However, please abide by the “right turn only” rule when exiting the South Lot and entering only at the west entrance of the South Lot by the pre-school.
