AM DROP OFF

* Have children ready to exit /enter cars quickly. Backpacks and lunches ready to grab van.jpgand go, goodbyes/kisses already given…
* Pull as far forward as possible (South Lot - into the yellow lined area in front of the preschool playset) when dropping off children.
* Stop only ONCE and have ALL children exit when your car is stopped anywhere within the drop off zone. Staying in drop off zone to let children exit at different times/doors slows the entire drop off process.
* Have children exit / enter from the PASSENGERS’ side of the car along sidewalk. Children exiting from the driver’s side into oncoming traffic is extremely hazardous. Please move carseats if necessary to accommodate exiting from passengers’ side.
* Please watch your speed when driving through the parking lot in the am as children are crossing the drop off zone to enter the school. The parking lot might look wide open, but little ones are ducking in and out between large cars and are not seen easily.
* Right turn only when exiting the South Lot during BOTH drop off and pick up times.
* If you are late dropping off your child (after 7:50). You need to bring them in the main office to secure a tardy slip.

PM PICK UP

* DO NOT cross carpool lines. Do not park in the street or lot and walk across thr carpool line to retrieve your children. If you have a time constraint, plan ahead to be at the front of the carpool line or pick up your child 10 min prior to dismissal at the main office.
* If you need to pick up a child early from school for any reason at the Main Office between 1:30-2:15pm you may park briefly in FRONT of the bus area in the marked spaces.
* If you are late picking up your child (after 2:30). They will be waiting at the main office or will be sent to the Extended Day program until you are contacted or arrive.

**NOTE: to all who drive children to and from school or extracurricular activities.

* PLEASE be mindful of the 20-25 mph speed limit on Division or Columbia Streets as many children walk to & from school.
* Any questions about traffic flow procedures can contact, Lori Wylly, transportation coordinator at 630-718-1109.
