All students have their Word of the Week schedules for the trimester.
In eighth grade we are reading Daphne du Maurier’s “The Birds” and a test will be administered on 9/3.
In seventh grade we read Rain, Rain, Go Away focusing on: plot, sequence and story elements. A quiz will take place on 9/3.
In sixth grade we are reading All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury. The main objective is to understand the setting and the effect of the setting on the plot. Students will be asked to write a letter describing a place. Quiz on 9/4.
May I add, the sixth graders are adjusting beautifully to the junior high challenges.
