Greetings from Joliet Catholic Academy!
Published by Mrs. J. Connell (Tech) August 29th, 2008 in Announcements.Before you know it, your 8th graders will be attending Step Up Days, Open Houses, high school placement exams and registration nights in preparation for their freshman year in high school.
With this in mind, I am writing you now to inform you of our 2008-2009 plans to help your students and their families become acquainted with Joliet Catholic Academy. As you well know, 8th graders are very busy in the fall with work and activities within your school. Many are also busy investigating and applying for high school. The following are our fall events planned specifically to introduce your students and their families to JCA:
October 17, 2008: Junior High Night @ JCA Varsity Football Game
October 22, 2008: Parent / Student Information Night
November 7, 2008: Step Up Day for Eighth Graders
November 23, 2008: Open House
December 3, 2008: Pre-Test Workshop for 8th Graders & Parents
December 6, 2008: Placement Test
In a couple weeks, I will be sending you a letter requesting a date & time to visit with your seventh & eighth graders. In addition, an invitation to our Step Up Day will be sent to you in October. We hope to have many of your students visit us on November 7! In the event we are unable to meet directly with your students and their families, we kindly ask that you help us keep them informed of important events and deadlines such as testing dates, scholarship application deadlines, financial aid deadlines and our Open House date, by posting and/or announcing this information. As you most certainly know, effective communication is essential to the success of any school.
