DEAR EXTENDED DAY PARENTS,
With the end of the school year quickly approaching, it is time to thank the Extended Day staff for all of their help. We would like to take a collection, as we have done in the past. This is a simple and relatively inexpensive way to show our gratitude for their help.
If you would like to participate, please make checks payable to SJA, in an envelope marked Extended Day Gift C/O Sister Carolyn, by May 29.
If you have any questions, please contact Linda Vaden at:

Before you go shopping for 2008/2009 school shoes…….
The SJA shoe policy states that “students are to wear dress shoes that must be sturdy suede, leather or leather-like with a non-marking soft sole (ex. leather, crepe, rubber). They must be below the ankle with no open back shoes. No sole or heel may be higher than 1 ½”. Solid colors of navy, brown, black or tan are acceptable.” Shoes must be neat and tied at all times.
Gym and tennis shoes for both boys and girls will no longer be a part of the uniform.
Grades K-3 may wear gym shoes on gym days when they wear their SJA warm-ups. Shoes for gym class should be supportive and suitable for exercise and physical fitness activities.
Information gathered about changing the uniform policy to include allowing grades 4 & 5 to wear gym clothing to school on gym days was inconclusive. The policy will remain as it is.———-
