Spanish: pages 17-18 are due this Friday, May 2. If your child was not in school on Friday, April 25 then they also need to complete page 14 as this work was done in class.

Religion: Chapter 20 this week; test on Thursday, May 1.

English/Writing: We continue to work on some fun writing for our scrapbooks and begin to try our hand at persuasive writing.

Science: 3B students will begin to present their planet reports, 1 per day for the next two weeks. Every group will present their report, poster, and planet. The other children will be listening during the reports for three interesting facts to write down in their planet packets. We will begin to learn about he moon this week; its phases and how it affects the Earth. We will also begin to learn about solar and lunar eclipses. This week in the Wednesday envelope look for the hand out that details information about your child’s own space project. Every student will be given a date that they will be presenting; presentations will begin the week of May 19.

Math: The Octagons are working in Chapter 17 learning about perimeter, area, and volume. They are also working on multiplying 2 digit and 3 digit numbers by 1 number. The Octagons will complete both Chapters 17 and 21 by the end of this week and will test out of both chapters on Monday, May 5. The Triangles continue to learn about measurement with customary units. They will complete Chapter 13 this week and begin Chapter 14 on Monday, May 5.

Reading: The Rulers will read Wilbur’s Boast, an excerpt from Charlotte’s Web, the Masters will read Justin and the Best Biscuits and the Aces will read The Hatmaker’s Sign. All groups will take story quizzes on Thursday.
