The Lisle Police Department is happy to announce a new member to their
ranks, K9 Bart. Officer Bill Wise would like to introduce Bart to the
children and explain what a K9 and his handler actually do while on
patrol. Officer Wise will explain how Bart is different than a pet
that they might have at home and how to approach a K9 safely if they happen
to see him while he is on duty.

We’re getting pictures of Bart so we can prepare the children for the sight of a working German Shepard. Bart will be meeting with P4 thru 3rd grade on Monday, May 19th.

If you have any concerns or know that your child is frightened of large dogs, please let us know. The meeting and demonstration will take place outside.
