Dear SJA Families,
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the generous response to the Easter Basket Drive! We appreciate that you have concern for the needs of others!
Sharing Connections was very please to have the 200 baskets to distribute! The baskets were given to “at risk” children in the police and fire department mentoring programs, children in area hospitals, children at a daycare center funded by a social service agency and to families that use other services provided by Sharing Connections.
We also appreciate the families and teens that helped sort the collected items and fill, wrap and label the baskets for easy distribution. This is a huge task that requires a great deal of patience!
We also wanted to thank our major donors this year: World’s Finest Chocolates, Osco, Bargain Books, those who donated multiple gift cards, and the team of SJA Moms that went shopping in the short time between sorting and filling! This was a very difficult task as they had to try to “even out” the baskets!

The Easter Bunnies
Are you looking for a way to become more involved at school? The SJA PSO welcomes and encourages parent participation! Currently, the PSO is looking for volunteers to chair two of our committees. The Mentoring and PSO Press are in need of chairpersons. The mentoring committee welcomes new families into our school community, and offers guidance to help them become familiar with St. Joan of Arc. The PSO Press is changing into a “scrapbook” style publication, with pictures of our students, lists of student achievements, etc. Anyone interested in either of these positions can contact Kathy Gausselin for more information.
Ladies, tired of the winter blahs? Plan now to attend the “FaithLift Spa Day for the Body and Soul”, on Saturday, April 29th from 9:00 to 3:00. Keynote speaker will be radio talk show host and author Dr. Colleen Kelly Mast. The day will include breakfast and lunch, a variety of interesting talks, massages, manicures, etc. You won’t want to miss this event!
