3B Happenings - March 24-28

This short week before spring break will be busy and bring to closure the material we have been working on together.
Reading: The Rhyme Crime will read The Many Lives of Benjamin Franklin. The Chocolate Swirls will read Do Animals Think? The Vicious Pebbles will read Amelia’s Road. All groups will have a story quiz and spelling test this Friday.
Math: The Math Monkeys will finish up Chapter 13. The Brainteasers will finish up Chapter 11. Both groups will pretest on Thursday and final test on Friday. Please watch the homework notebook for pages to help your child study and prepare.
Religion: We will begin Chapter 15, memorize the ten commandments, and finish this work the week after spring break. No test until after spring break.
Social Studies: The 3A students will continue Chapter 3. We will finish the study of the Navajo people and begin to study the Yurok in lesson 2.
English: The children will write Easter narratives.
Spanish: Homework due this Thursday - pages 6 and 7.
Accelerated Reader: The quiz program has been sent out for repair. Please encourage your child to read each evening. Both Ms. Brown and I will adjust the requirements for grading depending upon how long the system is out. Watch the homework notebook and this blog for any changes.
