Band for Today
Published by Mrs. J. Connell (Tech) March 17th, 2008 in Announcements. Over sixty 7th and 8th grade students, se were selected by BFT teachers for their outstanding work to participate in the BFT Honor’s Ensemble held at St. Joseph School in Downers Grove.
Students spent the day playing some great music with fellow student musicians, several from St. Joan of Arc, and getting excellent instruction from our staff. We had two full band rehearsals, a like instrument sectional, lunch and snacks. Some of the songs we practiced were Malaquena, Chronichles of Narnia, Theme from the movie Batman, and music from the movie “Cars”
We finished the day with an afternoon concert for families and friends. Congratulations to those students selected. Here is a list of students who accepted the honor and performed the day of the event.
