2A TODAY FEBRUARY 29
Published by Mrs. Bradburn (2A) February 29th, 2008 in Announcements.Good Morning and Happy Leap Year Day!
We have had a full and busy week. We were finally able to get out and play in the snow which is always nice. The kids have so much fun in the snow. We have had enough though. Winter can stop anytime now!! We are lookiiing forward to March and the first day of Spring.
In math the children are working hard at solving two digit subtraction with regrouping. They need a lot of practice with this concept and remembering all the steps. We are drilling on it everyday in class. Extra practice at home would be very helpful to your child. Also, we have noticed that many of the children do not know their addition and subtraction facts. We have been drilling on that in class, as well. Please review facts everyday until your child has them committed to memory. Thank you for sending in the flash cards with your child.
Thank you for your cooperation with the Fatherhood essays. We had 100% participation. We will just wait to hear if there is a winner.
Book-It for February can be turned in through next week. March is the last month for Book-It. I am proud of all the readers who participated in this worthwhile program.
Mrs. Nettleton on I are looking forward to bowling with the auction winners today!
Have a great weekend.
