3A Ms. Brown Week of February 25-29

Religion: We will work on Chapter 15 this week and learn about the precepts of the Church. The test will be on Thursday. All of the children did a wonderful job learning the Ten Commandments!
Writing: We will all be working on our Fatherhood Essays for the annual White Sox writing contest.
English: This week we work on using the pronouns I and me correctly, possesive pronouns, pronoun verb contractions, and using their, there, and they’re.
Science: Moon phases quiz on Tuesday. We will then take some time to learn about the Sun and the different types of stars. A study guide will come home this week for our test on March 6. Science presentations begin March 10.
Reading: The Rulers begin the week with a unit test. Then they will read Lon Po Po, the Masters will read Wilbur’s Boast from Charlotte’s Web, and the Aces will read Seal Journey.
Math: The Octagons continue learning about measurement and will cover lessons 13.3-13.7. The Triangles begin Chapter 10 division and will cover lessons 10.2-10.6
Accelerated Reader: The end of the third quarter is March 12. Everyone needs to continue to work to meet their requirement of 4 passed quizzes.
