3B Happenings - December 17- 21

This is the week of Advent that focuses upon JOY. We will enjoy Kris Kringle shopping Monday, cursive creations Tuesday, Christmas stories Wednesday, Christmas buffet and Mad-Libs Thursday, and the Christmas party is Friday. What a great week!

Reading: The Rhyme Crime will read The Patchwork Quilt, the Chocolate Swirls will read Cactus Hotel, and the Vicious Pebbles will read Animal Fact/Animal Fable. All groups will take a story quiz Thursday.

Math: The Brainteasers will test Chapter 6 and begin Chapter 7. The Math Monkeys will finish Chapter 8 and test Tuesday and Thursday.

3A Social Studies: The children did a beautiful job with their state reports! We will continue with geography, landforms, and natural resources in Chapter 2. Testing will be after Christmas break.

Religion: We will continue celebrating Advent and doing our service project writing. No chapter test this week. Chapter 9 and the test will be after the break.

English: We will complete grammar Unit 4 this week and the test is Thursday. Watch the Homework Notebook for pages to study.

Handwriting: We will create little stacks of cursive phrases. The children will be able to tell just which letters that need further practice.

Spanish: Homework is due Thursday. Please look at your child’s homework notebook.

HAVE A LOVELY CHRISTMAS! OUR SON (LT. JOHN DONOVAN) WILL BE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. THE DONOVAN HOUSE WILL BE PARTY CENTRAL.
