6th Grade Math - The students have completed sections 3-7 through 3-11 of Chapter 3 and were tested on these concepts on Friday, November 16th. Due to the shortened class schedule this coming week, I will not see the sixth graders until Monday, November 26th. When we return, we will begin to study sections 3-1 through 3-6 of Chapter 3.
7th Grade Math - The seventh graders have finished the first 4 sections of Chapter 4 (Collectilng, Displaying and Analyzing Data) and will take the mid-chapter quiz on these sections on Tuesday, November 20th.
8th Grade Math - The students finished Chapter 10 (Relations, Functions and Variations) and and will be starting Chapter 11 soon. They will be finding the slope of a line and will learn to write the equation of a line given one point and the slope of the line. They will also study relationships between the slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines and apply these skills in graphing linear inequalities in two variables.
6th Grade Science - The students have completed their study of Chapter 1 in the Earth’s Waters textbook. They will begin reviewing this material on Monday November 26th. The chapter 1 test is scheduled for Thursday, November 29th.
7th Grade Science - The seventh graders are studying Cell Structure and Function, Chapter 1 in the Cells and Heredity text. They will begin reviewing this material on Monday November 26th. The Chapter 1 test is scheduled for Friday, November 30th.
8th Grade Science - The students are studying Chapter 1 in the Chemical Building Blocks text and will begin reviewing this material on Monday, November 26th. The Chapter 1 test is scheduled for Thursday, November 29th.
