4B - Week of October 29 - November 2

-Jean and sweatshirt day is Wednesday, October 31.

-If you volunteered to learn how to make rosaries, the meeting is this Saturday, November 3, from 9:00 - 10:00. We will meet in room 4A. (enter SJA using the North rosary doors closest to Division at the front of the school)

-All Saints Day Event on Wednesday, October 31, at 10:30.

Religion: The students will finish their visual biographies of St. Therese this week. We will begin learning the Ten Commandments (Chapter 3) and discussing the meaning of each one.

Reading: Starting second quarter the students will receive a grade for Accelerated Reader on their report card. I sent home an Accelerated Reader Contract on Friday that required a parent signature. The new guidelines are explained in this handout.

English: We start Chapter 3 (verbs).

In our Writer’s Workshop, the students are writing personal narratives.

Spelling Test on Friday.
