8A/English
Published by Mrs. Zydron (8A) October 26th, 2007 in Announcements.gr. 6 Descriptive paragraphs on a favorite place are due on Monday. Pronoun quizzes were returned Thurs. Please sign and return Monday. We will be reviewing the chapter on nouns, pronouns, and adjectives all week, with the final test the following week.
gr. 7–Beethoven papers were handed in Thursday. Yea. The students really did a fine
job. Putting the paper together in proper APA style can be tedious, but it is a necessary skill for all future research papers. Their topics for their independent research papers are due on Monday. I encouraged them to choose a topic about which they are enthused and interested. We are getting back to the grammar books–nouns and pronouns this week.
gr. 8–We continue to stress correct pronoun usage–a challenge, given that some pronouns are so infrequently used correctly, by anyone, anywhere!
We still need pictures for the yearbook–8th grade oldies especially. Please just send them to my attention. They will be scanned and returned.
