RELIGION:  The story of Saint Joan of Arc was unbelievable.  After reading the story and watching the movie about it, we have had some very, very  good class discussions about morality, history, Catholic faith, etc.  We have included her in our daily Litany of Saints we do each morning before school starts.   This week we will play a game about her life.  In thanksgiving for Miss Sutton (North Central education major) we will create a memory book for her.  She is “the best!”  This past week Sr. Mary Lou from England made a surprise visit to our classroom.  She is the biological sister of Mrs. Stock, my previous teaching partner.  She shared with us what it is like to be a nun and we let her know we have prayed special prayers specifically for more priests and nuns every school morning.  This week will start to set-up new bags of rosary beads for next year’s class.

SOCIAL STUDIES:   We are hoping to have a geography bowl competition - review of everything we have studied.

SCIENCE:   We review Tuesday for our last science test on Wednesday.  Again, students are expected to turn in parent signed class notes about “Matter” on the day of the test.  Hurrah for “hands-on” science Thursday!
