Greetings –May 11

Grade 6 will be going to Medieval  Times on May 22nd.  We are eager to enjoy our time there.

Grade 6 Social Studies

The students are working in groups on the American, French,Industrial and Russian Revolution.  Their group will teach these concepts to their classmates.  Their presentations shall last 30 minutes.  They have had four periods in class to work on these presentations.  It will be considered a test grade.  Each student has topics they are to present.  I am looking forward to their presentations.  They will start on May 16th to present these presentations. Ask them about about what they are doing.

Grade 7

We are studying the Civil War.  Each student has a real person or group they are representing from the time of the Civil War.  We have battles daily to gain knowledge about the Civi War.  There are challenges given to bring in during the week.  Their homework is a variety of activities.  The class is divided into the North and South.  The side that has over 600,000 battle points does not have to take the test. The battle points represents the death total of lives lost during the war.

Grade 8

To end the year each eighth grader will share a famous person (not in sports) and event during their lifetime .  For the famous person share why they want to meet them.  For the event why would they have wanted to experience that event.

I just would like to thank you for the privilege of being part of your child’s learning experience during the last three year.  Your child is such a great creation and gift from the Lord.  My greatest wish for them is to grow in their faith and share the Good News of the Bible with others.  Mrs. Haeger
