Published by Mrs. Bradburn (2A) May 1st, 2007 in Announcements.The big day has finally arrived. The first group of children had the practice for their First Holy Communion this Saturday. They are ready. The practice went well. We will pray for nice weather to go with a beautiful day. Thank you, parents for preparing your child for this special day. Practice for the next group will be next Monday at 6:30.
We had a great time at the Shedd Aquarium. A big thank you to the moms who chaperoned. We all agreed that it is the perfect trip for second grade. If any of the moms have pictures from that day that they can spare, could you send in a couple. Second grade is featured in the PSO newsletter this month and I would like to include a few pictures.
It is also our month to be featured on the bulletin board outside the tech center. Be sure to stop and see our smiling faces. We have a lot to smile about.
Excitement is building not only for First Communion but for the end of the year. As we are winding down the year I am amazed at first, how fast the year has gone and second, how much the second graders have grown and how much they have learned. It has been a great year and they are ready for the challenges of third grade.
Parents, please keep this enthusiasm alive by having your child read everyday over the summer. Keeping a summer journal is also a great idea for keeping those writing skills sharp.
