NO SCHOOL FRIDAY (Teacher Institute)
“Twinderella” will be performed for grades K-5 this Thursday.
Our field trips are scheduled for May 10 and May 29. The information about May 29 went home last Wednesday. Thank you for your prompt responses. The May 10 field trip is a walking outing to Lisle Heritage Center. Information will come home this Wednesday.
Our last Arts Alive was just wonderful. Thank you to all of the parents who brought that great program to the classroom.
In Religion we will finish Chapter 20. The test will be on Thursday. The Native American reports for Social Studies (3A students) are really excellent. Testing for Social Studies Chapter 3 will be this Monday. In Reading this week the “Chicago Bears” will complete Book 2 Unit 2 testing and start on a new story as well. The “Funky Monkeys” will begin a new story and next week they will complete the last story of the third grade reader. The “Snipper Snappers” will have their first unit testing of fourth grade material next week. In English the children will take the Unit 7 - Adjectives test this Wednesday and Thursday. Finally, in Math the “Gladiators” will continue studying fractions with a quiz (Monday) next week. The “Flaming French Fries” will continue with division. They will progress to dividing 2-digit numbers. No quizzes or tests this week.
