MRS. DONOVAN - 3B Happenings
Published by Mrs. Donovan (3B) April 22nd, 2007 in Announcements. What a wonderful weekend! Even with rain expected at the beginning of the week, we look forward to spring finally being here and staying.
Another busy week is ahead! In Reading each group will read a new story. Please read aloud at home with your child at least twice a week. The ‘Chicago Bears’ will complete the current unit this Friday. They will have a grammar quiz Wednesday. Testing for the unit will be early next week. The ‘Snipper Snappers’ will continue their unit this week, have a quiz on Tuesday and Thursday, and begin a new story on Friday. The ‘Funky Monkeys’ will move quickly through two stories this week. They are very eager to begin 4th grade stories very soon. There is a grammar quiz Friday and Unit testing after May 7th.
In Math, both groups are progressing well. The ‘Flaming French Fries’ will continue fourth grade work with large number multiplication. Testing will be Monday and Tuesday. We study time, measurement, and division with remainders next. The ‘Gladiators’ will test out of Chapter 10 on Monday and Tuesday. They will dig into fractions next.
All Social Studies reports by 3A students are due this Wednesday, April 25.
All 3B students have Science assignments due this Thursday. Spanish assignments are also due Thursday.
In Religion, we will begin Chapter 20 this week and complete it with a test next week. A lesson on Pentecost will be Wednesday and Thursday.
We will write descriptive paragraphs, complete English Unit 7, and test next week.
It will be great fun to have Arts Alive this Thursday!
Have a great week! Thank you for all the homework support and please continue to check those homework notebooks until the end of school.
