7A/Rel. - 8th Grade Confirmation Information

First Service Project Option #1 Due Date: Easter Candy Project.
All Confirmation fees must be paid.
Tuesday, April 10:
All stoles must be completed and brought to class for individual presentations.
All sponsor forms must be turned into the Mrs. Barouski, Director of Faith Formation. Sponsors need to have the signature of the Pastor/Associate to verify that they are a practicing Catholic and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. This form was in the packet sent home in January.
Don’t wait until the last minute, especially if the sponsor is out of state or in another parish besides St. Joan of Arc. Students were told to send this form to their sponsors two months ago.
Sunday, April 15, 2007 @ 11:30: Rite of Commitment Mass followed by practice for Confirmation/with Sponsor (if they are able to be present at this time) If sponsor is not available a parent may be asked to stand in for the sponsor to determine seating arrangements in church. Required of all 8th Grade Confirmation candidates.
Sunday, April 15, 2007: 6:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M. Confirmation Retreat for all 8th Graders being confirmed. Parish Activity Room and Gym. Parents are invited to the concluding Prayer Service at 8:30 P.M. in the church.
Friday, April 20, 2007 @ 7:30 P.M. Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Candidates need to be present with Sponsors, by 6:45 P.M. in the St. Joan of Arc Gym.
